Airports Fiji Limited has continued to show its support of Fijian sport tourism with a year’s extension of their partnership with the Fiji International.
The newly renovated Departures Lounge was a fitting backdrop for the announcement of the thriving relationship between Airports Fiji Limited and the Fiji International, which highlights the company’s commitment to supporting golf tourism and more broadly sports tourism in Fiji.
“Airports Fiji Limited is proud to be a partner of the Fiji International. We have seen some fantastic announcements and developments over the past few weeks. We are excited to be a part of one of Fiji’s biggest sporting events,” said Faiz Khan, Executive Chairman of Airports Fiji Limited.
“Now that the tournament is part of the European Tour, we look forward to welcoming players and supporters not only from our key markets but also from other parts of the world.”
The Fiji International is focused on promoting Fiji as a golfing destination allowing the popular tourist destination to tap into the lucrative golf tourism market.
“In line with our government’s vision Fiji is now becoming a world-class golfing tourism destination,” continued Khan.
“We hope that our new newly upgraded terminal will leave a lasting impression on everyone. In a few weeks we will open the first half of our brand new departures check-in terminal hall. We are excited that when all of our construction is complete, Fijians will have one of the best airports in the world.”

“To have Airports Fiji Limited back on board as a partner is fantastic and I am confident our visiting professionals, volunteers and spectators of the Fiji International will be just as impressed.”

“This experience starts and finishes at Nadi International airport, which is doing a great job of ensuring visitors arrive and leave happy.”
From mid-August, Nadi International Airport will take on a Fiji International make-over with promotional material adorning the arrival and departure areas with some exposures at Nausori Airport as well.
