Fiji’s leading wine distributor, Victoria Wines, has commited its support for the Fiji International golf tournament 2015.
The family-run business, with four outlets in Port Denarau, Nadi, Nasau and Suva, is dedicated to importing and distributing fine wines from all over the world – from Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Italy, North America, New Zealand, Spain and Portugal – through to Fiji’s many boutique island resorts and top restaurants.
The experience of participants at the Fiji International 2015 will be enhanced through the excellent range of wines being sponsored by Victoria Wines, along with their international wine partners: Wither Hills (New Zealand), San Pedro’s 1865 (Chile), Trapiche (Argentina) and Taittinger (France).
This is the second year that Victoria Wines has supported this premium international event.
“We expect, through our sponsorship of the tournament, to raise international awareness of the quality of food and wine experiences available in Fiji,” says Victoria Wines Managing Director, Liam Hindle.
“We are pleased to have Taittinger, San Pedro and Trapiche on board with us again this year, illustrating the value these companies see in the international visibility provided by this event. We are also thrilled to have Wither Hills join our wine partnership in 2015 for the first time.”
“Victoria Wines was a fantastic partner at our 2014 event. They added the finer touches to our event functions and corporate hospitality areas with the supply of their exclusive wines. We are very excited to have them back on board as a partner at the 2015 Fiji International and look forward to further leveraging their brand association with Fiji’s biggest sporting event.”, said Matt Porm, Head of Commercial for the Fiji International.
Wither Hills have indicated their excitement to be a part of the Fiji International Golf Tournament being held at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course later in October this year – “Wither Hills has a strong association with sport being the official wine of the All Blacks, so supporting the Fiji International golf tournament was an easy decision and an important part of our brand positioning in Fiji.”
About the Fiji International
To be played at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from 15-18 October, the Fiji International will be broadcast around the world.
The Fiji International is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia and will be played for a minimum prize purse of AU$1 million.
The inaugural Fiji International signalled Fiji’s official arrival onto the world golfing stage with the Fijian Government, Fiji Tourism and Fiji’s number one golf ambassador, Vijay Singh, all making a push to put their country on the lucrative world golfing map.
In 2015 the Fiji International is expected to grow with the tournament establishing a reputation amongst the world’s best golfers as a must attend event for themselves and their families.
The tournament also boosts some of the most unique hospitality options in world golf with the par-3 4th hole providing the perfect vantage point to watch the golf whilst socialising on the beach.
More than just a golf tournament the Fiji International aims to leave a lasting legacy for golf in the Pacific with the PGA of Australia supporting initiatives to introduce and grow the game in Fiji.
